KTM X-Bow GT

08.10.2016

Garage Deltgen gave us the possibility to drive the new KTM X-Bow GT.
Why GT? Because the GT version is equipped with windows in difference to the normal X-Bow. Thanks to the windows you can drive the car without a helmet and have an awesome view without any A-pillar. The front view is perfect, but there is now rear view at all except the to exterior mirrors. Parking sensors or camera are not available, but honestly, you don't need to look back because anyway you will leave almost everyone behind ;-) The X-Bow GT weights only 847kg and produces 285hp which allows the car to accelerate in 4,1 sec from 0 to 100. In realty it even feels like almost 3 sec.

The car is so rough, it has no ESP, no ABS, no power steering and no brake booster. This means, if you go sideways, no one will help you get the car back on track except you! But this is what makes all the fun!

Another nice side effect is that no matter where you drive, people just start smiling when they see the car and make photos. Sometimes they even ask you to stop just to look at the car.

As you might know, the car has no trunk, and no storage at all, its only purpose is to race and to have fun. However, the car has a USB port ( for radar warning equipment ;-)).

As a conclusion, it is very hard to explain the experience of driving the X-Bow, you just have to drive it yourself because it is unbelievable and so different from all other road legal cars.
